How do I exclude the AJAX post back for link button in GridView - Ajax Forum - ASP.NET Controls   (12 Views)
I have a search button and a RadGrid that will have a template to include a link button. The link button is used to download file. While click the search button it will bind the GridView.I put atelerik:RadAjaxLoadingPanel to include the RadGrid and add following code snippet:

The difficulty is that the download link does not work while clicking. I guess it is related with AJAX behavior and Response Object. If there is a way to disable the AJAX post back for the link button in template column of RadGrid

, Hello,
As I can view, you're attempting to add attribute to button with ID = homeBtnH4,which I can't view in the provided code. Can you send us the whole problematic code, so we can try to replicate the problem locally

Strange Ajax Behavior with Radbutton RadAjaxPanel RadAjaxManagerProxy RadAjaxManager RadScriptManager - Ajax Forum - ASP.NET Controls   (30 Views)
I am having the hardest time getting a RadButton to invoke a function in the code-behind file that updates the text of the RadButton. So far I can receive the button to fire with Ajax, but even though the function changes the text it isn't reflected back onscreen. Furthermore, the 2nd time I click the button the page conducts a postback resulting in a see that only displays the contents of the master page. The content of the web form is blank.

button click event not firing if onclientclick event happens first - Ajax Forum - ASP.NET Controls   (66 Views)
I'm performing the rather laborious job of upgrading from asp.net q3 2007 to ajax q1 2010. One of the many issues I have faced so far is my standard asp.net buttons that require a clientside confirmation before the postback is fired.
Example I have a reasonably easy page with a radscriptmanager, a radajaxmanager and a radgrid. On this page I have an asp.net standard button with events for onclick and onclientclick. The onclientclick is there to make sure the user meant to press the button and is just "return confirm('DELETE this E-mail');", but even pressing OK causes no postback. If I remove the onclientclick event then the postback happens fine (javascript for client code snippet is in a radcodeblock). If I alter the client event to just be 'return true;' the postback still does not happen.
Some thing about client side javascript (possibly because it is in a radcodeblock) firing first is stopping the postback from the button happening.
Any solutions

Here's my problem: I ve a button in my content page on click I need to upload a label in my master page with ajax.
I've read that:http: www.telerik.com assist aspnet ajax ajxmasterpageupdateeverywhere.html

In my content page:
Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load
Dim AjaxManager As RadAjaxManager = CType(Me.Master.FindControl("radAjaxManMaster"), RadAjaxManager)
Dim lblAs Label = CType(Master.FindControl("myLabel"), Label)
AjaxManager.AjaxSettings.AddAjaxSetting(btnAdd, lblCartitemCount, Nothing)
End Sub
Protected Sub btnAjouter_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnAdd.Click
Dim lbl As Label = CType(Me.Master.FindControl("myLabel"), Label)
lbl.Text = "New value"
End Sub
On the masterpage I ve that:
myLabel" runat="server">The loadingpanel is presented on my labelbut it keeps the old value...
What I don't receive its that It's rendering page cycle two times (two time page load on master page and contentpage)
...
(When I am removing the three lines in page load of content page it works as it should (no page event called two times and label is edited but page is postback and no ajax...))Could somebody assist me

Ajaxify imgbutton in rad grid - Ajax Forum - ASP.NET Controls   (26 Views)
Brian
I reviewed the provided code snippet and noticed some introductory issues with the ajax settings you're adding in ur software:
1. Pls note that it isn't supported to have RadAjaxPanel added in the RadAjaxManager settings or use the both controls for updating the same part of the page. Therefore I'd advise you to interchange the RadAjaxPanel with regular asp Panel.
2. Note thatsingle PageView of control formPageViewcould not be added as AJAX initiator or edited control in the AJAX settings. The only possible approach is to add the whole MultiPage in the RadAjaxManager settings or wrap the whole control into RadAjaxPanel. When we set the MultiPage as an edited control, you should also include the TabStrip familiar with it in the Ajax settings.

Frozen checkbox button and relative positioning in IE 6 - Ajax Forum - ASP.NET Controls   (4 Views)

We're having the same problem in IE6 and IE7 as noted in the known problem link: known problem with buttons
We have been able to resolve IE7
by adding relative positioning to the having block as per the link above, however the same does not seem to work in IE6. Our pages are created dynamically, so I have attached the output source structure. In IE7, we can add relative positioning style to the 'TabContent' class to resolve the problem. In IE6, this does not work.
Also noticed that the date picker button is having the same problem.

Accessing the Cancel button in GridEditCommandColumn via enter key - part of a larger trouble - Ajax Forum - ASP.NET Controls   (38 Views)
We've a complex use case with a RadGrid inside a panel on a page with a master page more than one user controls, vaildators, a defaultbutton &c.
The difficulty is that with all this going on, accessing the RadGrid via tab and enter keys has become problematic.
Tabbing throughthe page and getting tothe [+] Add New Record buttons (the InitInsert buttons) on the page, and then hitting enter in the default scenario causes our default button for the page to fire that isn't what we wana. We'd like the same thing to happen as if we clicked on it - a new row to be added to the grid.
As a work around, I've enabled keyboard validation, and set the OnKeyPress event in the client events to call javascript where I evaluate the key, view if it is the enter key, and then if so, examine the innerHTML to view what sent it to the JS.
This is bad enough and a poor solution for obvious reasons. However, for the cancel button that is part of the GridEditCommandColumn, the validators on the page are firing that isn't what happens when u just click on the Cancel link button in the grid.
I figure there has to be a improve built in way of accessing the grid completely via the keyboard with standard tab and enter keys, rather than the non standard keyboard shortcuts, or if I've to do it htis way for all the buttons in the control to be decently caught and handled by javascript.
Any advice would be comprehended.function OnKeyPress(key)
{
var e = window.event;
if(e.keyCode==13) {
if (e.srcElement.outerHTML.indexOf("AddNewRecordButton") > -1 || e.srcElement.outerHTML.indexOf("$InitInsertButton") > -1) {
__doPostBack('ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$RadGrid1$ctl00$ctl02$ctl00$InitInsertButton', '');
return false;
}
if (e.srcElement.outerHTML.indexOf("ctl02_CancelButton") > -1) {
